Course:Kannai Pub Crawl

about the course

It’s a different town after dark. Neon lights start to light in the streets of Kannai.
This time we’ve carefully chosen pubs that are easy for wheelchair users to get in.
The staff’s personalities are equal to the pubs’ flavours. Have a good chat with a drink in one hand.

Quite a few pubs are unaccessible. Some places say ‘Go somewhere else, wheelchairs!’
What places! Turning the anger into smile, let’s go on a Kannai pub crawl again today!

Your journey starts here at Kannai station.
We’ll take you on a journey to search for a new aspect of Yokohama!

2.Kannai Motsu-Niku Ten

A standing pub near Kannai Station North Exit. They even have a simple garden space besides the seating on the first and second levels.
You can enjoy eating delicious yakitori and sake for reasonable prices.
It’s near Kannai and it has a Showa period vibe. It’s a nostalgic place with a good atmosphere.
It’s a bit hard to get in, but it’s OK; you can drink under the eaves.
A staff member came out with a vigorous shout. A simple table was put up right then.
Well, well, their liver is really good!!
It’s really inexpensive here; this pricing despite the fact that it’s right near Kannai Station. It was the best!

3.Taishu Sakaba Warai Kannai Branch

This is not a standing pub, but it’s a spacious one that serves seafood.
This Kannai branch is the company’s first branch, most of whose staff members are female.
Crash!! Oops, I’ve done it again. But it’s kind of easy to get in with a really warm atmosphere.
The menu and their drinks are nothing but ordinary, but because of the warm atmosphere, I just can’t help wanting to go there.

4.Hama Gyoza Koban Kannai Branch

A gyoza specialised restaurant run by a quiet owner and a nice staff member. Apparently, lots of wheelchair users visit this place after watching baseball games.
You can choose Gyoza either with or without garlic, so it’s ladies-friendly.
‘Go somewhere else, wheelchairs!’ I didn’t hear it in a while.
For the first time in 30 years or so. I was able to get in, though.
Never mind, and let’s move on!
It’s clean! I can’t believe they’ve been running this place for five years. They clean it realy neatly.
Apparently, the BayStars players come here and their autographs are everywhere in the restaurant.
This place is specialised in gyoza. The owner is a man of few words.
Great! But the gyoza is great! They must have lots of regulars!
The young lady took care of me, and now I’ve got another place that I want to go back again.

5.Soshu Soba Kannai Main Branch

Slurping some soba at a standing soba shop, thinking about what I went through today.
I feel relaxed with gentle air and gentle flavour.
Soba to wrap it up. I’ve been here before.
It’s nothing but soba, but it’s really nice to have a little conversation over the counter. It’s cheap, as well.
