Introduction, Recommendations and Barrier Free Functions
Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse is the city’s signature sightseeing spot popular for its Meiji/Taisho period brick architecture. It’s a historic building complex made of bricks constructed as the nation’s model warehouse from the end of Meiji to the early Taisho period. Leaving the trace of the warehouse back in the days, small shops that are lined up, various events of all four seasons, and the seafront location where you can see Bay Bridge and Osanbashi, have a charm that attracts everybody.
The warehouse is lit in orange colour at night, bringing it a fantastic atmosphere.
Building No.1 is three stories high and it has halls and multi purpose rooms where performances such as plays, concerts, and dances are held throughout the year. Building No.2 is also three stories high, and other than the restaurants: one with live music and one with buffet, it’s a shopping facility with 50 shops and cafes.
Accessible toilets are in Building No.1, on the first and second floors of Building No.2., which come with ostomy compatible facilities. There are baby seats outside the toilets.
